Finasteride, a hair loss medication that sells under the name of Propecia, is also used for prostate cancer treatment. Recent studies have shown that it can also provide a long-term protecting effect against prostate cancer. The study showed that after using the drug for seven years, prostate cancer risk decreased by 25%.
