Hair Follicles Enter A Resting Phase Called Telogen    




Seasonal hair loss is usually present in women, caused by the hormonal changes during the period. However, it can also happen in men in certain seasons of the year. One cause is because humans and other mammals, have adapted themselves to the seasonal changes. In cold seasons, a thick hair is needed as insulation, while in warm seasons, the hair may thin or shed. The reason is that in warm seasons, the follicles enter a resting phase called telogen.
