Learning Why The Hair Changes Every Seven Years

Learning Why The Hair Changes Every Seven Years

Hair Goes Through Three Different Phases, Including Growth And Shedding

There are several phases of hair growth, and each one has different characteristics. The most important is the growth phase, known as anagen, in which hair grows for seven years. The second stage is transitional, takes 10 days, and is known as catagen. The final phase is called telogen, and take 3 months, in which the hair will shed. Afterward, hair follicles are inactive for three months before the whole process is repeated. Each hair follicle goes through the complete cycle at different times, else all the hair would fall at the same time. During the growth cycle, it is important that the hair is kept in the best condition because it would remain in that stage for seven years also. It is also very essential to properly nourish the hair during the catagen phase in order to promote blood flow to the scalp. However, it can be difficult to identify when these phases are taking place, because changes may be very subtle. Additional details click here.
